Robots That Vacuum and Mop
Robots that vacuum and clean provide the convenience of cleaning both dry and wet messes in one time and without the need to switch between devices. They can also save space in comparison to two separate units, especially in smaller living areas.
A good combination bot will offer excellent navigation and obstacles avoidance. Look for models with docks that allow them to automatically empty their bins, replenish their water tanks and machine-wash the mopping pads.
1. Eufy S1 Pro
It has a lot to offer at a modest price and is one of the easiest robots we've tested to set up. Unpacking is simple and the quick-start guide can get you running in no time with a full dust bag, water tank and a hard floor solution.
The S1 Pro is an incredibly powerful machine that can vacuum and mop well. The mops are spun at a high rate and employ 2.2 pounds (1kg of force) to swiftly remove dirt, pet hair and sticky dried spills. The vacuum has four power modes, a selection of brushes and attachments, and an intuitive app that lets you choose the type of cleaning you'd like to have for each room.
For instance, you can opt for the robot to clean up the living and kitchen but take it easy in the spare bedroom. The S1 Pro has excellent front collision sensors and smart navigation technology. It can detect small obstacles that other models cannot. The only problem is that it is known to smash into objects and walls at full speed. However remote hoover of the history of cleaning in the app will reveal exactly what the robot has done, where it is going, and which obstacles it has stumbled upon or avoided.
A convenient LCD screen on the docking station shows the maintenance tasks that must be completed like emptying the debris tray, and cleaning the dirty water tank. It's also capable of mixing detergent automatically into the water tank, by using a 600ml bottle filled with eufy's own solution.
Both the S1 Pro vacuum and mop have plenty of run-time as well, with the mop being capable of running for an 184-minute runtime in Quiet mode, while the vacuum is able to do 136 minutes in normal mode, before needing to recharge or return to the base to replenish. The app is easy to use and intuitive that lets you view every aspect of the cleaning.
2. Roborock S8 Pro Ultra
The Roborock S8 Pro Ultra, the most recent version of Roborock's most popular robot vacuum and mop is the most up-to-date version. The model this year has a double agitator built into its mopping pad. best inexpensive robot vacuum enhances the carpet cleaning capabilities of this model. The S8 Pro Ultra has an improved suction power that enables it to pick up smaller hairs as well as other debris other robotic cleaners might miss.
As with the other two Roborock models I've tried, this one has reactive 3D obstacle avoidance and infrared technology to help to avoid furniture, walls and other obstacles. But the S8 Pro Ultra takes things one step further by having a dual camera that can detect objects and decide whether they are a wall or another type of surface. It can then automatically change its direction and clean them without missing a beat.
It's the most expensive model I've tried however it also comes with the most features. Its sleek and angular design is eye catching and only has three buttons that are physically accessible. The power button, which also restarts the cleaning process mop function, a button for cleaning that doubles up as a child-lock and a home button to send the robot to its dock. The hinged lid opens to reveal a 350ml dustbin as well as a 200ml water tank. The water tank is self-emptying and the bin auto-refilling.
The only negative I discovered with this model was that the VibraRise mop pad mount isn't removable. Although you can change the mopping cloth (if needed) however, it's a hassle to take off the mount itself to wash it manually. I've noticed that any carpet that the robot crosses will come into contact with the rough Velcro like fastener on mounts, which could cause abrasions.
The S8 Pro Ultra is equipped with a variety of smart features, including support for Google Home and Amazon Alexa. The Roborock app is where you can manage and configure these features. It also includes maps and advanced mopping options. The app lets you plan cleanings and monitor battery life. But you'll need to jump through a few hurdles to enable voice control with this model which is a pity considering how well it performs otherwise.

It also allows the robot to get under low-profile furniture which makes it a great option for apartments or condos with limited space. The side brush tilts automatically down when it detects wet spots. This is a great feature that enables the X40 to avoid damaging floors by excessive back-and forth movements.
Contrary to other robots which only focus on one thing, the X40 can perform mopping and vacuuming simultaneously or individually. It can be programmed to mop only the hard floors, and skip carpeted areas or vice versa. It can be controlled through the Dreame app or via Alexa, Siri, and Google Home for smooth voice-controlled operation.

The docking station automatically empty the trash bin into a 3.2 L bin, cleans mop pads and refills them with fresh water and cleaning solution. Smart DuoScrub is a brand new feature in its mops, uses two mop heads that are high-speed to scrub floors more thoroughly. It also has a suction force of 7,000Pa. This is higher than the Roborock S8 Pro Ultra and Ecovacs Deebots T20 Omni. It can also remove pet hair, small dirt particles, and clean up spills and soiled spots.
Its mops are also cleaned and dried inside the base station after every use. This is an excellent feature as it stops the growth of mould and unpleasant odours in storage, and also makes the mop system a lot more efficient. This is a feature that we haven't seen in other robot vacuum and mop models. It could be a great method to keep your home clean longer.
There's a plethora of settings on offer, including the ability to schedule cleaning and adjust a number of different preferences. They can be set through the app or there are buttons on the device itself. The app is simple to use and offers a variety of options for customizing your cleaning routine. It also has several features that aren't available on other robots, for instance the Clean Genius Mode, which automatically increases suction whenever it detects dust particles.
The L20 Ultra is also one of the most stylish robots we've seen on the market, sporting metallic and white colors that is elegant and stylish. It's a bit heavier at 4kg than the other robots on this list, but it's still not a lot of weight. It is solid and well-built. The mopping design is also excellent and the double-rotating mop works well on hard floors and in corners. The MopExtend feature lets them extend up to 2mm below the baseboards.
